Jasper Pauwelussen new CTO
More than three years ago, SD-Insights arose from the idea that it must be possible to improve road safety in a viable and scalable way with a high-tech behavioral approach. For many people this was a new idea at the time, but one that was received more and more positively. In 2018, this behavioral approach has become more self-evident and SD-Insights has made a huge growth spurt. We are pleased to announce that as of 1 January Jasper Pauwelussen will act as CTO to strengthen this growth and approach.
Jasper brings a lot of experience to SD-Insights. He was a product manager at TomTom Telematics for 5 years. He was responsible for the efficient driving fleet management solutions and for connected car products and services. Last year he worked at T-Mobile on a new IoT platform. After his Aerospace Engineering degree, Jasper started his career at TNO where he has built up strong expertise in the human factors aspects of driving behavior.
Due to the enormous increase in innovative projects about driving behavior and the increase in its Safety as a Service for logistics service providers, the SD-Insights team has expanded considerably. At the end of 2018, Julia Smeu, Marije Seinen and Pavlo Pazilinskyy joined the company. Pavlo gained his doctor degree on audio feedback for autonomous vehicles at Delft University of Technology on 14th for December. He will also hold a part-time postdoc position at the university. In this way SD-Insights strengthens its current collaboration with TU Delft. SD-Insights will expand his team even further in the first quarter, partly due to the upscaling phase it is now focusing on.
At the end of 2018, Frank Anema sadly retired as a shareholder and CTO.
